Some customers really amaze me. I have no idea how this couple stayed together for so long. An old couple in their late 50s early 60s came in a little after 10pm. They were asking if we had anything that was brewed but was decaffeinated and was not coffee. In other words, they were looking for brewed herbal teas which we do not have so I told them “No”. After realising that all of our teas were made from teabags, she finally made her order. My coworker took a. 20oz cup and she stopped him and said that her tea would not be strong enough. So I told my coworker to just give her a 12oz cup. He took a dark blue cup down and again she stopped him. This time she said that she likes to see the color of her tea. Om my god at this point i was wondering if she was expecting a rainbow. So we gave her a white cup and she was satisfied or so we thought. She then asked if we had anything that was metal and could keep the tea warm to which my coworker replied “Yes, we call it a teapot”. After getting all that settled, we thought it was over. Her husband then ordered a chocolate pistachio cookie, she just had a look of disgust and said “that’s too heavy ” her husband asked if he should get an oatmeal and raisin cookie instead but she just told him “Never mind, go ahead”. We put the cookie on a plate and served it to him and when she saw it, she blurted out “Oh i don’t want you eating that in front of me!”. So we put it n a paper bag so that the could still eat it and she won’t see it.
My goodness, how can you live with a person like that? if you don’t have self control then I am sorry but seriously do you have to put other people through sch torture. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Don’t tell people to go ahead and then have them figure out a way to do what they want without you being tempted.
